Does the job, I have an Level 2 J1772 portable charger and this works well with it, able to plug in directly to my Tesla Y and X vehicles with this adapter without charge errors.
The charging adapter does it job. It fits my Tesla and does a good job of letting me charge it at quick charging stations. It is easy to connect and it fits well. The charger feels solid and looks sturdy and durable. A nice backup plan.
It's a simple product and does exactly what's needed. I had a ChargePoint EVSE before and wasn't interested in shelling out for a new charger. With this $50 part I don’t see any difference between what I had before and now; it just works. I only wish there was a way to get the button that Tesla chargers have which is able to unlock the charging port and door. 🤷🏾♂️
I got this charger to replace a charger that I lost. I was a little concerned about not getting a Tesla charger. I am glad I was able to get past the brand name fear. The quality of this adapter is solid and is a nice fit. I am able to connect and disconnect the charger to the station without an issue. It allows me to take advantage of a super charging station that is close to work.
This is a standard adaptor for non Tesla portable extensions with J1772 connection to charge the Tesla and works perfect, no errors found and stays snug on charging port, I used it once a week. I liked the locking ring around the adapter it helps to keep it secured to the extension cord when uncoupled from the port. I keep the adaptor in the car with spare cable from my previous EV to use when I’m away for the weekend or emergency and I don’t have any charging stations available in the area. In rest, this adaptor is build and feels heavy duty, all waterproof, with dens plastic and rated for 60A to max 80A current. Thanks
This product feels more premium and heavier than the Tesla's original J1772 adapter. It has thicker & chunkier walls than the Tesla one (see phootos). I've charged this on three different chargers already, i.e., Juicebox (at home), Volta, and ChargePoint. No issue charging. But Volta charger has a thicker locking clip and hence the locking ring (on this product) must be left off in order for the plug to go all the way into the charge port. It's a minor issue. I think it's good to have a backup J1772 adapter so that I can leave one at home and always keep one in the car.

In all honesty, didn’t realize that there was a J1772 to Tesla adapter in my new MY’s trunk. However, I want to keep it there and use this at home! Build quality is great, feels sturdy. Our third party mobile charger (GODIAG Lvl 1-2) connects snugly to this adapter, which in turn connect securely to our 2023 Model Y. Charged overnight (16A, 115V) starting from 55% and was at around 80% the following morning. Pretty chuffed with that! Unlocked and unplugged normally. It’s small enough to fit in any of the front storage compartments, or in the trunk storage under the bed (yunno, where the Tesla one lives). But great price and great performance - 5/5.
Work as intended. I tested the charger and the amount of energy I got and how it hooked up worked just like the original. So if you’re looking for an extra J1772 plug for a Tesla, this is a good option to use and works well just like the original that came with my car.
This is a very high quality adapter for the Tesla charger. It isn’t made of plastic but of fiberglass. The added lock is a nice feature as well. Handles up to 80 amps which is typically the max for level 2 chargers. Very happy with it for sure!
This charging adapter feels great in the hand and works well. The extra benefit is that it includes a locking ring (that's physically attached via a wire to make it harder to misplace), but unfortunately it's on the small side and doesn't fit with all J1772 plugs (my included video shows this on a Chargepoint plug). When using the OEM Tesla adapter there is no locking mechanism on the J1772 side at all -- this means that it's easy for you to be unplugged nefariously by another EV driver in need of a charge. The included lock on this adapter would prevent this from being possible so it's a shame that it wasn't larger to ensure compatibility with more J1772 plugs.
Showing in the photos all three I have on hand and pointing with arrow the difference and the most important part for the lock at the ring. Of course the original Tesla one came with no locking ring. The other brand I got earlier which the locking ring area was narrower comparing with this brand. At the last photo showing why the other brand not working, but this one can because the locking ring was wider which can fit in the locking tab from the charger. For this brand I like the ring was attached with a wire, so less chance will lost the ring. But I found this brand the ring was not as hard as the other brand, made with thinner material. It feels like softer and easier to break.
Only complaint it lock ring doesn't fit when charging model s but with ring off it plugs in just fine and handles 48amp charge no problem
I may want to use the side with the extra pin someday.

Adapter fits and works perfectly. no problem with communication Tesla software. Also has a feature where it says connected to your car when unplugging so that you don’t forget it at the charging station.the adapter is IP56 waterproof and can be safely used outdoors without worrying about causing electrical shortage.I would highly recommend.
This product is great. I don’t have to rely on Tesla charging stations only. With this converter I can take advantage of other stations that are cheaper and perhaps not as quick. But either way over time I can save a fortune with the use of this converter. Highly recommend this product!
Great material and attached lock is great. Don't buy it just for the lock though, as I found so far about half the time the lock on the J1772 connector is too wide or otherwise doesn't fit at least with Chargepoint J1772 handles. This is still what I believe to be among the best J1772 to NACS adapters.
Almost 9 months since purchase, and this adapter gets used constantly and exclusively. It has a solid feel to it. The built-in lock works well, but doesn't fit over all latches. That said, I would recommend this product.

This is a surprisingly efficient adapter for a Tesla Model Y. Tested on a few different stations and it worked without a hitch. Limited to Level 2 80 amps charging but if you want anything faster you need a more elaborate device which is to be expected.
For around 50 dollars, this adapter is very competitive with other similar offerings. A bonus on this adapter is that it comes with a lock for a CCS plug. Once in a while, I have ran into people that unplug the CCS charger off my OEM adapter with malicous intent, this lock will help with that concern as it is difficult to take off the CCS cable without first unlocking the charging port.

Works for all Tesla models. Usually you want to use the Supercharging network or charge at home but that is not always an option, depending on where you go. For example, when visiting my folks a visit to a Supercharger is not feasible but I can go shopping at my normal spot and charge the Model Y while doing so. It's not for what I'd consider fast charging, but all that time charging while doing something else can really add up when you're away from a home charging base. Material is solid and should last a long time.

adapter is essential if you cant find a tesla charger or want a spare . like that there is a "security" ring around it so people cant unplug it ( and has a wire attached) One thing to remember.. its easy to lose this adapter or leave it on the charger. You may want to put a sticker or somethin on it to remind you to take it with you . Comes with cloth pouch for storage ( ok but not really necessary) Overall great. no issues.

It looks well made heavy duty, and hope the glass fiber will be much reliable than the plastic one. In the first use, I got a warning that it's not fully engaged due to the charger lock. I pushed the charger lock very hard and it didn't happen again.
